Production method:
It is obtained by the reaction of octadecyl alcohol with hydrogen bromide. The alcohol is heated to 100 ° C, the dry hydrogen bromide is added, and the reaction temperature is maintained at 100-120 ° C until the solution no longer absorbs the hydrogen bromide. The bromide was stratified, washed with organic and concentrated sulfuric acid. The bromide removed from the acid was mixed with 90% methanol of the same volume, washed with ammonia to make the bromide alkaline, washed with 90% methanol and dried with anhydrous calcium chloride. Finally, vacuum distillation, collection of 209-211℃ (1.33kPa) fraction is the finished product, the yield of 90%.
