A further Buxus alkaloid, buxtauine occurs in Buxus hyrcana and forms colourless
needles from Me 2CO. The structure is unknown but spectroscopy shows the
presence of a hydroxyl group, a ketonic group, a secondary amino group and a
cyclopropane ring in the molecule.
