N-Acetylmethamphetamine is an analytical reference standard categorized as an amphetamine. N-Acetylmethamphetamine is a by-product formed in the synthesis of methamphetamine from pseudoephedrine.¹ It can also be formed as an analytical artifact in the injector during GC-MS analysis.
