distillates, petroleum, heavy steam-cracked C5-18 fraction is a complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained by cracking steam-cracked distillates with the addition, prior to polymerization, of dicyclopentadiene. It consists of hydrocarbons having carbon numbers in the range of C5 through C18.
