It is also used as a reactant in the preparation of 2-?(((5-?akly?/aryl-?1H-?pyrazol-?3-?yl)?methyl)?thio)?-?5-?alkyl-?6-?(cyclohexylmethyl)?-?pyrimidin-?4(3H)?-?one derivatives as potential HIV-1 inhibitors. Additionally it can also be used as a reactant in the preparation of macrobicyclic ligands containing pyrazole subunits (the N, N’-bipyrazolyl cryptand).
