(S)-4-[2-(Dimethylamino)ethyl]-4-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-cyclohexen-1-one

An amorphous base found in Sceietium joubertii L. Bol. The alkaloid contains one hydroxyl and an N-dimethylethylamine side chain. The ultraviolet spectrum has absorption maxima at 226 and 278 mμ.
