4-Aminocyclohexane methyl ester hydrochloride is a commonly used cyclic amine hydrochloride in scientific research. It is a versatile compound used in biochemical and physiological studies, as well as laboratory experiments. It can be used to study the effects of certain drugs, hormones, and other compounds on cells and tissues, and to investigate the mechanisms of action of some drugs and hormones. Furthermore, it can be used to study the effects of certain drugs and hormones on the body, and to investigate the pharmacokinetics of certain drugs, demonstrating broad potential applications.
3.896 g (20.117 mM) of methyl 4-aminocyclohexanecarboxylic acid hydrochloride, 6.77 g (22.1 mM) of 1,5-dibromo-3-phenylpentane and 14.0 ml (80.5 mM) of N,N- diisopropylethylamine were put into 100 ml acetonitrile and refluxed for 1 day. The reaction mixture was poured into aqueous sodium bicarbonate and extracted with 3 parts of ethyl acetate. The organic layer was mixed and dried over MgSO4 and the solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure. The residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography (hexane/ethyl acetate = 3/1 ~ 1/1) to give methyl 4-aminocyclohexanecarboxylate hydrochloride.
