2-Amino-7-(2-bromoethyl)-1,7-dihydro-6H-purin-6-one is an intermediate in the synthesis of S-[2-(N7-Guanyl)ethyl]glutathione (G843800) which is a known DNA adduct formed as a result of glutathione (GSH)-dependent base-substitution mutations caused by the carcinogen ethylene dibromide (EDB).
