C18-C50 branched, cyclic and linear hydrocarbons – Distillates is a complex combination of hydrocarbons obtained from a feedstock derived from the catalytic hydrogenation of carbon monoxide (the Fischer-Tropsch Process), optionally followed by one or more of the following processes: hydrotreatment, hydroisomerization, hydrocracking. It consists predominantly of branched, cyclic, and linear aliphatic hydrocarbons having carbon numbers in the range of C18 to C50. It is a base oil that boils approximately in the range of 300.degree.C to 570.degree.C (572.degree.F to 1058.degree.F) with a viscosity of at least 4.0cSt at 40.degree.C (100.degree.F) and an approximate pour point of less than 0.degree.C (32.degree.F).
