Serine and arginine repetitive matrix 1 (SRRM1) has a role in mRNA export and acts as splicing coactivator. It activates the 3μ end cleavage of transcripts. Overexpression of the protein results in the accumulation of intron-containing RNAs in the cytoplasm. It also may have a role in recruiting splicing factors to the sites of splicing.
