The DOTAP:DOPE with 0.1% NBD-DOPE liposome (LipNBD) reconstituted with transferrin called the transferrin liposome-nitrobenzoxadiazole (Tf-LipNBD) is useful as a probe. N-(7-nitrobenz-2-oxa-1,3-diazol-4-yl)dioleoyl (NBD) is used in model membranes studies and is useful in visualizing membrane domains.
