Azido-PEG5-CH2CO2H is a water soluble PEG linker. The azide group can react with alkyne, BCN, DBCO via Click Chemistry to yield a stable triazole linkage. The terminal carboxylic acid can react with primary amine groups in the presence of activators (e.g. EDC, or HATU) to form a stable amide.
Azido-PEG5-CH2CO2H is a cleavable 5 unit PEG ADC linker used in the synthesis of antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs). Azido-PEG5-CH2CO2H is also a PEG-based PROTAC linker that can be used in the synthesis of PROTACs[1]. Azido-PEG5-CH2CO2H is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
