LM22A-4 (37988-18-4) is a small molecule BDNF mimetic displaying neurotrophhic activity. Partial agonist at TRKB and activates TRKB signaling. In in vitro models of neurodegenerative disease, it prevented neuronal degeneration with equal efficacy to that of BDNF. After in vivo administraton, LM22A-4 caused hippocampal and striatal TrkB activation in mice and improved motor learning after traumatic brain injury in rats.1?Improves respiratory function in a mouse models of Rett syndrome.2
LM 22A4 is a potent tropomyosin-related kinase B (TrkB) agonist. LM 22A4 has been show to induce activation of Trk, Akt and ERK in mouse hippocampus and striatum and reverse deficits in motor task learning in mice following traumatic brain injury. LM 22A4 also restored respiratory function in a rat model of Rett syndrome.
