No nitroolefin has any commercial interest as an industrial
chemical entity. Deichmann et al. have shown that nitroolefins are indeed emitted in the exhausts from gasoline
engines. Because of the emissions from automobile exhaust,
nitroolefins can be found in urban air pollution.
