trans-1-Methyl-2-(4-methylpentyl)cyclopentane, can be used for the production of modified prostaglandins that has an extensive applications in studies of these compounds activity. It is also found to be one the chemical components of the essential oil from two varieties of Radix Angelicae Dahuricae.
