Tri(t-butoxycarbonylethoxymethyl) ethanol is a branched PEG linker with a hydroxyl group and three t-butyl protecting groups. The hydroxyl group can react to further derivatize the compound. The t-butyl groups can be deprotected under acidic conditions.
Uses
Tri(t-butoxycarbonylethoxymethyl) Ethanol is used as a reactant in the synthesis of trinuclear tungsten(IV) oxo cluster complexes for x-ray imaging.
