Marl is one of the major sources of calcium carbonate.
Marls are soft, unconsolidated deposits of calcium carbonate, often mixed with earth, and have a
neutralizing value (calcium carbonate equivalent - CCE)
in the range of 70 to 90 % , depending on the clay content.
