Propionic acid (2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)hydrazide was prepared by reaction of (2,4,6-trichlorophenyl)- hydrazine with propionyl chloride in pyridine. Visnaginone Ia reacted with phenyl hydrazine and 2,4,6- trichlorophenyl hydrazine to yield the corresponding hydrazones.
