2-(4-Isothiocyanatophenoxy)ethyl tosylate is a hetero-bifunctional linker specially for the quaternisation of pyridyl-nitrogen in order to introduce an amine or thiol reactive group. It is also a synthetic building block for the preparation of fluorescent labels.
