Cannabipiperidiethanone is a synthetic cannabinoid (CB) with structural similarities to JWH 250 and AM2233 that has been identified as a component of "herbal" blends illegally sold in Japan. Cannabipiperidiethanone binds to the CB receptors CB1 and CB2 with IC50 values of 591 and 968 nM, respectively. Its reported affinities for CB1 and CB2 receptors are 2.3- and 9.4-fold lower than those of JWH 250, and 13- and 70-fold lower than those of (R)-(+)-WIN 55,212-2, respectively. This product is intended for forensic and research applications.
