N,N-dimethylpyridine-2,6-diamine is a used as a reagent in the synthesis of Quinazoline derivatives, compounds that are used in the treatment of cell proliferative disorders that result from angiogenesis and vascular permeability. N,N-dimethylpyridine-2,6-diamine is also used as a reagent to synthesize pyridylureas, compounds that are used as stomach secretion inhibitors.
