CERIUM(IV) OXIDE-YTTRIA Chemical Properties,Usage,Production

  • Uses YDC-10 can be used as an electrolyte in the fabrication of solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs). A thin film of YDC-10 (~17.5 nm) effectively reduces the cathode/interfacial energy by 0.1 eV and increases the exchange current density by a factor of 4. YDC-10 can be operated with a temperature range of 300° - 500°C.
