- Uses Chronic dermal ulcers treatment (promotes the proliferation of mesenchymally-derived cells).
- Indications Becaplermin (Regranex) is a recombinant human platelet–derived growth factor (rhPDGF-BB) which is thought to enhance wound healing by stimulating granulation tissue. It is approved for the treatment of lower extremity neuropathic ulcers extending to the subcutaneous tissue in diabetic patients with an adequate blood supply. Local irritant reactions (erythema, burning, pain) occur in a minority of patients.
