CINNAMONITRILE Chemical Properties,Usage,Production

  • Chemical Properties Cinnamonitrile, transcinnamonitrile is a colorless, crystalline solid (mp 23.5-24°C) or a colorless, viscous liquid with a spicy, slightly floral odor. Cinnamonitrile can be prepared by one of the common routes to nitriles, for example, by dehydration of cinnamaldoxime. It is stable to alkali and is used for perfuming soaps and detergents.
  • Uses 3-Phenylacrylonitrile can be used to study signalling pathway. It can also inhibit EGF receptor kinase activity.
