Uses
Senecivernine N-oxide is a hepatotoxic pyrrolizidine alkaloid that is naturally found in Senecio vernalis, a flowering plant that is native to Iran and the Mediterranean. In Jacobaea plant species, all pyrrolizidine alkaloids are derived from Senecivernine N-oxide.
Definition
ChEBI: Senecivernine N-oxide is a pyrrolizine alkaloid that is produced by a hybrid species of Jacobaea. It has a role as a Jacobaea metabolite. It is a pyrrolizine alkaloid, a tertiary amine oxide, a tertiary alcohol, a macrocyclic lactone, an olefinic compound and an organic heterotricyclic compound.
