Uses
Ins(1,4,5,6)P4, a biol. active cell constituent, was recently advocated as a substrate of human Ins(3,4,5,6)P4 1-kinase (hITPK1), because stereochemistry factors were believed relatively unimportant to specificity. Ins(1,4,5,6)P4 is phosphorylated by inositol-phosphate-multikinase but not human ITPK1.
Definition
ChEBI: 1D-myo-inositol 1,4,5,6-tetrakisphosphate is a myo-inositol tetrakisphosphate having the four phosphate groups at the 1-, 4-, 5- and 6-positions. It has a role as a mouse metabolite. It is functionally related to a myo-inositol. It is a conjugate acid of a 1D-myo-inositol 1,4,5,6-tetrakisphosphate(8-).
