Uses
5′-Nucleotides & Nucleosides has been used as a standard mixture in gas chromatography using atmospheric pressure chemical ionization coupled to mass spectrometry (GC/APCI-MS) analysis. It has also been used as a nucleotide standard to generate a calibration curve in high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
General Description
Nucleosides comprise the natural nucleobases, namely, cytosine (C), thymine (T), uracil (U), adenine (A), and guanine (G) with the sugar ring. DNA and RNA have 2′-deoxyribose and ribose respectively. Nucleotides have nucleoside and a minimum of one phosphate group. They are constituents of nucleic acids and are regarded as building blocks for the synthesis and in nanomaterials assembly as well.
