ChEBI: (E)-trans-miyabenol C is a benzofuran-derived stilbenoid that is a homotrimer obtained by cyclotrimerisation of resveratrol. It has a role as a plant metabolite, an antioxidant, a serotonergic antagonist, an apoptosis inducer, an EC 2.7.11.13 (protein kinase C) inhibitor and an antineoplastic agent. It is a member of 1-benzofurans, a polyphenol and a stilbenoid. It is functionally related to a trans-resveratrol.
