Preparation
Obtained by reaction of acetyl chloride (7.6 mol) with hydroquinone dimethyl ether (1.8 mol) in nitrobenzene in the presence of aluminium chloride (5 mol), first at r.t. for 67 h, then at 95° for 40 h (10%).
