Description
CDX2 is a member of the caudal-related homeobox transcription factor family.{77032} It is composed of an N-terminal nuclear import sequence, a hexapeptide region, and a homeodomain.{77033} CDX2 is expressed in intestinal epithelial cells and is required for intestinal tract development and function, such as membrane permeability and local inflammation.{77032,77034} Knockout of Cdx2 is embryonic lethal in mice.{77034} CDX2 has been used as a diagnostic marker for colon cancer.1 Lack of CDX2 expression is correlated with poor prognosis in patients with Stage II or III colon cancer.{77035} Cayman's CDX2 Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (Clone RM495) can be used for immunohistochemistry (IHC).
