Properties and Applications

blue light grey. Soluble in hot water for red brown, soluble in ethanol for brilliant purple, insoluble in benzene. In concentrated sulfuric acid to purple, red brown after dilution precipitation; In concentrated nitric acid for red solution, and then into a pale yellow; In concentrated hydrochloric acid in red brown precipitation.
