Biological Activity

It is also involved in regulating neuropathic pain and peripheral adiposity. TLQP-21 plays a role in stimulating the secretion of insulin and prevents apoptosis of pancreatic cells. It also activates the complement C3a receptor-1 (C3aR1) in the brain.
