Uses
LAU-0901, a PAF receptor antagonist, possesses highly neuroprotective activity. LAU-0901 inhibits apoptosis[1].
Biological Activity
LAU-0901 is a highly potent and selective platelet-activating factor (PAF) receptor antagonist th at is neuroprotective in experimental stroke, and protective in a variety of inflammation models. LAU-0901 blocks pro-inflammatory signaling. LAU-0901 demonstrated efficacy in a mouse model of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) alone and in combination with Avastin.
