Production Methods
Heptamaloxyloglucan is commercially produced through the enzymatic hydrolysis of plant-derived xyloglucan polysaccharides, typically extracted from tamarind seed gum. The process begins with the isolation of native xyloglucan, a hemicellulose found in plant cell walls, followed by controlled enzymatic cleavage using specific endoglucanases to yield heptasaccharide fragments. These oligosaccharides are then purified through filtration, precipitation, and chromatography to obtain high-purity heptamaloxyloglucan.
