Base material for alternative energy applications.1 This boron-based hydride is a low temperature source of hydrogen for fuel cells and other hydrogen consuming energy systems. Can also serve as an excellent reducing agent in various chemical processes.2

Uses

Lithium ammonia borane (LiNH₂BH₃) is an alkali-metal amidoborane that is mainly used in hydrogen storage applications. It has a hydrogen release percentage of ~10.9% at a low temperature (~90°C).
