Uses
1,1,1,4,5,5,5-heptafluoro-3-[1,2,2,2-tetrafluoro-1-(trifluoromethyl)ethyl]-2-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)-4-(trifluoromethyl)-2-Pentene is a versatile organic compound used as a reagent in the synthesis of many materials. For example, it is used in the production of polyesters, polyamides and polyurethanes; high-performance materials such as flame retardants, lubricants, adhesives and coatings; and other synthetic materials such as plastics, elastomers and resins. In addition, it is an important pharmaceutical intermediate ingredient used as a raw material for the production of antibiotics, antifungals, painkillers, anti-inflammatory drugs and other active pharmaceutical ingredients. It is also used in the production of diagnostic agents, contrast agents and other medical imaging agents.
