ChEBI: Sirius red 4B is an organic sodium salt resulting from the formal condensation of Sirius red 4B (acid form) with two equivalents of sodium hydroxide. Used as the plasma stain in some trichrome staining methods. It has a role as a histological dye, a fluorochrome, an environmental contaminant and a poison. It contains a Sirius red 4B(2-).
