Uses
18:1-12:0 Biotin PE or 1-oleoyl-2-(12-biotinyl(aminododecanoyl))-
sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine has been used during the liposome preparation to make liposomes detectable during standard flow cytometry. It is also suitable for labelling phospholipid vesicles.
Uses
18:1-12:0 Biotin PE has been used:
- as a ligand in phosphoethanolamine binding assay
- in the generation of vesicle reconstituted with syntaxin-1A and Synaptosomal nerve-associated protein 25 (SNAP-25) vesicles
- in the preparation of biotinylated liposomes
Biochem/physiol Actions
1-oleoyl-2-(12-biotinyl(aminododecanoyl))-sn-glycero-3-phosphoethanolamine, biotin PE is majorly used in the generation of lipid vesicle in supported lipid bilayer. It is also used in generation of phospholipid vesicle.
