Enzyme inhibitor
This 109-residue protease inhibitor (MW = 11402 g/mol; CAS 50864-63-6) from Streptomyces antifibrinolyticus, inhibits selected serine proteases, but not chymotrypsin, thrombin, kallikrein, or elastase. Plasminostreptin reportedly also inhibits certain metalloendoproteinases, such as mycolysin. Target(s): mycolysin; plasmin; Streptomyces griseus metalloendopeptidases (I2); Streptomyces griseus metalloendopeptidases II; subtilisin; and trypsin.
