Synthesis
Diethylamine (60 mL) was added to a 500 mL round bottom flask and cooled in an ice bath. Thiophene-3-carbonyl chloride (compound g-1) was dissolved in 10 mL of dichloromethane and slowly added dropwise to the reaction flask. The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 minutes. Subsequently, the organic phase was separated by extraction with dichloromethane and NaCl aqueous solution to afford dark yellow liquid N,N-diethyl-3-thiophenecarboxamide (compound g-2) in 58% yield.
