Description
Stearoyl ethanolamide-
d
3 is intended for use as an internal standard for the quantification of stearoyl ethanolamide by GC-
or LC-
mass spectrometry. Stearoyl ethanolamide is a member of the family of fatty N-
acyl ethanolamines collectively called anandamides. Stearoyl ethanolamide is the most abundant of several fatty acid ethanolamides produced by the PLD hydrolysis of mouse neuroblastoma cell membrane phospholipids.
1 The specific role of stearoyl ethanolamide in the cannabinergic system is still to be elucidated.
