Manufacturing Process
To a solution of 199 parts of morphinane sodium in 900 parts of methanol was
added a solution of 60 parts of benzene sulfonic acid methylethyl ester. The
mixture was stirred at heating to give the ethylmorphine.
In practice it is usually used as hydrochloride
