Uses
16:0-18:0 (11-12BR) PC (1-palmitoyl-2-(11,12-dibromo) stearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) may be used:
- in phospholipid vesicle preparation for tryptophan (Trp) penetration depth experiments
- to determine the bromination effect at different positions along the fatty acid chains
- for quenching of human heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70) tryptophan (Trp) fluorescence
General Description
16:0-18:0 (11-12BR) PC (1-palmitoyl-2-(11,12-dibromo) stearoyl-
sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine) consists of brominated stearoyl chains. This brominated-PC lipid is non-hygroscopic and has a stability of 1 year.
