Biological Activity
Heronapyrrole B is a farnesylated 2-nitropyrrole bacterial metabolite that has been found in Streptomyces and has antibacterial activity.1,2 It is active against the Gram-positive bacteria S. aureus and B. subtilis (MICs = 1.8 and 7.5 μM, respectively) but not Gram-negative P. aeruginosa or E. coli.1
