ChEBI: Violaceol II is an aromatic ether in which the ether functionality links a 2,3-dihydroxy-5-methylphenyl group with a 2,6-dihydroxy-4-methylphenyl group. Fungal metabolite isolated inter alia from Aspergillus spp. It has a role as a mycotoxin. It is a member of resorcinols, an aromatic ether and a member of catechols.
