(αR)-N-[3-[3-(Difluoromethyl)phenyl]propyl]-α-methyl-1-naphthalenemethanamine is an impurity of Cinacalcet (C441800); an oral calcimimetic agent that modulates the calcium-sensing receptor, reduces parathyroid hormone (PHT) secretion, and lowers serum calcium and phosphorus concentrations in patients with endstage renal disease (ESRD) and secondary hyperparathyroidism (HPT).
