普鲁宁是有效的人肠道病毒 A71 (HEVA71) 抑制剂。Prunin 对蛋白酪氨酸磷酸酶 1B (PTP1B) 有较强的抑制作用，IC50 值为 5.5 μM。

体外研究
Prunin exhibited dose-dependent inhibitory activity against ONOO--mediated tyrosine nitration and stimulated glucose uptake by decreasing PTP1B expression level in insulin-resistant HepG2 cells. Prunin shows significant inhibitory activity against α-glucosidase, with an IC 50 of 317 ± 2.12 µM.
