  20% Pd(OH)₂/C (Pearlman catalyst, 80 mg) was added to a solution of the aminoamide adduct (175 mg, 0.8 mmol) in an EtOH/AcOH (1:1) (4 mL) mixture. The mixture was stirred at room temperature under H₂ (1 atm) for 14 hours. The mixture was degassed under an argon flow and filtered through diatomaceous earth. The collected solids were washed with EtOH (3 x 10 mL). The combined filtrate and washes were concentrated. The residue was neutralized with concentrated NH₄OH (2 mL). The mixture was placed in FC (eluent, MeOH/CH₂Cl₂/concentrated NH₄OH 50/50/1) to give L-prolylamide.
