Purify dimethyl peroxide by repeated trap-to-trap fractionation until no impurities could be detected by gas IR spectroscopy [Haas & Oberhammer J Am Chem Soc 106 6146 1984]. All necessary precautions should be taken in case of EXPLOSION.
