Residues (petroleum), light naphtha solvent extracts is a complex residuum from the distillation of light naphtha solvent extract. It consists predominantly of aromatic hydrocarbons having a carbon number of C9, predominantly trimethylbenzenes and indan and boiling in the range of approximately 143.degree.C to 260.degree.C (290.degree.F to 500.degree.F).
